Petra

I visited Petra(Jordan)on a day trip with Anna and Shay(a photog friend from work).

It was awesome. The place is wonderfull. The light there is horrible by all acounts - I think the best way to go is a medium format camera, wide lens, telephoto lens, tripod,a case of film and a free week.

I will drop the color films in the lab tomorrow. The BW will wait.It is harldy a BW place so I shot just two 120 across rolls.I dont have the neg sleeves for 120 and the shop wants 190 NIS(45$)for a hundred.

Thanks for the thanks :)
I really like your blog.
Hope you'll visit mine.

I got the films developed today and will give it to a friend for scanning - he isn't fast and new with the color profiles but he does it for free and the quality is good (36 MB TIFF 35mm film dedicated nikon scanner).

I looked at the negs and I hope I'll find 4-5 good shots. I've seen Shai's pics and they are good,5-6 being excellent(national geographic material). If he posts them on the net I will post the link. With all the good he manages to bring from the pics I still don't like digital with it's oversharpening and crappy blacks.

I want a good pic to enlarge 30x40 or so and hang on the wall.
Need good color for this.
