The place I live, the state of Oregon is all non-smoking in public indoor places. If a person wants to smoke, he has to go outside, even if it's raining as it usually is here in winter.
moderately drunk. Israel is beginning to become a non smoking country despite it's 30-40% smokers. our politicians follow fads easily without adapting to local realities i guess
About the same here which is still drunker than I've been in many a year. It's just that someone brought Glenlevit (sp?) Scotch, and it tasted awfully good.
Quality of water(which is also very important in whisky and beer), quality and kind of grain, technology of filtering and distillation(once\twice\three times).
I think the best bang for the buck is Absolut\Finlandia\Kettel One. grey goose if you are posh. not a stolychnaya\smirnoff fan.

I was born in the USSR so vodka, and plenty of it.
I am a fan of glenlivet - I have 12yo and 15yo bottles(and an empty 15yo in the trashcan),but nothing in this world beats Ardbeg.
I love vodka, but tell me this. Vodka is basically ethyl alcohol plus distilled water, right? So, what makes some vodkas better than other vodkas?
