since the Rufus Weinright concert will be a sitting one,I think I will not take a camera(i dont have a viable SLR or a tele at the moment - but I could loan one)

I believe you might find the M with a 135 to be easier to use than you might think.
but less easy then on a slr,and besides,a slr 135 lens is faster(2.8 and not 3.5-4.5) and much much cheaper and has more precise focus then the better(eg non russian) rf lenses.
